Barrera óptica de horquilla Panasonic PM-K25, tipo K, conmutación claro/oscuro, 5–24 V DC

The Panasonic PM-K25 is a K-type photoelectric fork sensor designed for reliable non-contact detection of edges, labels and small parts in automation systems. Its fork-shaped optical path allows precise sensing of objects passing between the prongs without mechanical contact. The sensor supports both light-on and dark-on switching modes and operates from a 5–24 V DC supply, making it suitable for integration with a wide range of control equipment on conveyors and assembly lines.

Advantages

The fork form factor provides consistent alignment and repeatable detection even for thin or irregular items. Built to work across a wide supply voltage range, the sensor offers flexibility for different machine architectures. The availability of both light-on and dark-on switching modes lets installers match the output behavior to the application logic. Compact single-unit construction simplifies mounting in tight spaces and reduces wiring complexity.

Suitable for

• Edge detection on conveyor belts
• Label presence and alignment verification
• Detection of small components in pick-and-place and assembly stations
• Paper or film detection where non-contact sensing is required

Key specifications

• Sensor type: K-type photoelectric fork sensor
• Switching modes: light-on and dark-on
• Supply voltage: 5–24 V DC
• Form factor: fork / U-shaped optical gap for through-beam detection
• Output: single switching output (configured for selected mode)
• Mounting: compact single-unit body suitable for tight spaces

How to use

Install the PM-K25 so the object to be detected passes through the fork gap. Ensure stable mechanical alignment so the target consistently interrupts or permits the optical path according to the chosen switching mode. Connect the sensor to the control system using the appropriate DC supply within the 5–24 V range and wire the output according to the expected light-on or dark-on behavior. Adjust mounting height and lateral position as needed to achieve reliable switching for the target material and size.

Recommendations

For best performance, keep the optical faces and fork gap free of dust, adhesive residue and condensation. Use secure mounting and strain relief on wiring to prevent misalignment caused by vibration. When detecting transparent or highly reflective materials, test both switching modes and, if necessary, adjust object position or add background contrast to improve detection stability.
