Cable de fibra óptica ShiverPeaks BS77911/3 1 m SC ST aqua

The ShiverPeaks BS77911/3 1m SC ST Aqua is an OM3 multimode fibre optic patch cable designed for high-speed, short- to medium-distance network links. It pairs an SC connector on one end with an ST connector on the other, and its 50 µm core supports full-duplex transmission for use in data centres, server rooms, and telecommunications closets. The aqua jacket identifies OM3 performance and helps visually distinguish this cable in structured cabling installations.

Advantages

This OM3 fibre cable delivers low insertion loss and consistent optical performance for multimode applications. The SC and ST connectors provide a reliable push-pull and bayonet-style connection respectively, enabling compatibility with a wide range of active equipment and patch panels. At 1 metre in length the cable is compact and convenient for rack-to-rack or panel-to-equipment patching, while the standardized 50 µm core ensures predictable bandwidth and transmission characteristics.

Suitable for

• Short-range multimode links in data centres and server rooms
• Patch panels, switches and transceivers with SC or ST interfaces
• Full-duplex Ethernet and fibre channel multimode connections
• Structured cabling where OM3 identification and colour-coding is required

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM3 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 1 metre
• Connector A: SC
• Connector B: ST
• Transmission mode: Full duplex
• Outer jacket colour: Aqua

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for dust or contamination before making a connection; clean with appropriate fibre cleaning tools if necessary. Insert the SC connector into the SC adapter or port until it clicks, and engage the ST connector by aligning the key and twisting the bayonet collar to lock. Ensure bend radius limits for multimode fibre are observed and avoid tight bends or kinks. Route the cable within cable management panels or ducting to reduce strain and maintain optical performance.

Recommendations

Store unused cables coiled with a gentle radius and avoid compressing the jacket. For optimal network performance, pair OM3 multimode links with compatible OM3-rated transceivers and maintain clean connector endfaces; follow facility grounding and cable management practices to prevent mechanical stress and signal degradation.
