Cacerola Ballarini Bellamonte ovalada de hierro fundido 4,5 l roja

Ballarini Bellamonte Oval Cast Iron Casserole in red is a 4.5 litre ovenproof pot designed for slow cooking, braising and oven use. Made from cast iron, it delivers even heat distribution and excellent heat retention for stable temperatures during long cooking processes. The oval shape provides extra capacity for roasts, whole fish or larger cuts of meat while the enamelled exterior resists staining and facilitates cleaning.

Advantages

The cast iron construction ensures consistent, uniform heat and long thermal retention, reducing the need for frequent temperature adjustments. The enamelled surface prevents iron oxidation and simplifies maintenance compared with untreated cast iron. Its ovenproof design and robust lid create a closed cooking environment ideal for slow-cooked stews and braises. The oval shape increases usable space and supports a variety of ingredients and portion sizes.

Suitable for

• Slow-cooking stews and casseroles
• Braising meats and poultry
• Roasting vegetables and whole joints in the oven
• Making soups, sauces and one-pot meals
• Stovetop searing followed by oven finishing

Key specifications

• Capacity: 4.5 litres
• Material: cast iron with enamelled finish
• Shape: oval
• Colour: red exterior
• Suitable for stovetop and oven use
• Designed for slow cooking, braising and roasting

How to use

Preheat the pan gradually to avoid thermal shock, then sear ingredients on the stovetop if required before transferring to the oven. Use moderate heat for long cooking times; cast iron retains heat efficiently so lower temperatures are often sufficient. Use oven mitts or heat-resistant handles when removing the casserole from the oven. Clean after cooling according to enamel care instructions to preserve the finish.

Recommendations

For best results, start on the stovetop to brown meats, then cover and finish in a preheated oven at a steady low temperature. Avoid rapid temperature changes and abrasive cleaners to maintain the enamel surface. Use wooden, silicone or nylon utensils to prevent scratching.
