The Thermalright Macho Direct is a high-performance HDT CPU cooler designed for efficient processor heat dissipation in a compact form. Based on the established Macho layout, this cooler positions its heatsink toward the rear of the PC case to avoid interference with tall memory modules. The Macho Direct uses five 6 mm heatpipes in a convex, Heatpipe Direct Touch arrangement and includes a temperature-controlled TY-140 Black (PWM) fan optimized for low noise and high airflow. A universal mounting kit for current Intel and AMD sockets, a magnetic-tip screwdriver and a packet of Thermalright Chill Factor thermal paste are included.

How to use

Install the Macho Direct following the included universal mounting kit instructions for your CPU socket. Apply a small, even amount of the supplied Thermalright Chill Factor thermal paste to the CPU heatspreader, seat the cooler so the heatpipes make direct contact with the processor surface, and secure the heatsink using the provided backplate and retention hardware. Attach the TY-140 fan using the revised fan brackets and anti-vibration pads, then connect the PWM fan cable to the motherboard CPU_FAN header for automatic speed control.
