Escuadra KS Tools 300.0270 peso 170 g

The KS Tools 300.0270 square is a compact precision tool for measuring and marking right angles. Weighing approximately 170 g, this lightweight square provides stable handling and consistent alignment for layout tasks in woodworking, metalworking and construction. The tool’s profile and square edges are engineered to maintain perpendicular accuracy, allowing reliable transfer of reference lines and quick checking of corners and joints.

Advantages

The square combines low weight with a rigid shape to reduce user fatigue while preserving dimensional stability during use. Its accurate edges enable repeatable measurements and straightforward alignment against workpieces. The compact size facilitates access to tight areas and convenient storage in a toolbox or on a workbench. Materials and finish resist everyday wear and provide a visible reference line for marking and inspection.

Suitable for

• Carpentry layout and marking of right angles
• On-site construction checks and corner inspection
• Metal fabrication and fitting tasks requiring perpendicular alignment
• DIY projects, furniture assembly and repairs

Key specifications

• Approximate weight: 170 g
• Form: square tool designed for right-angle measurement
• Material properties: durable construction suitable for workshop use
• Size/compactness: small, easy to handle and store
• Edge finish: precise straight edges for marking and alignment

How to use

Place the square with one side firmly against the reference edge of the workpiece and align the other side to the line or surface to be checked. For marking, hold the tool steady and scribe along the edge to transfer a right-angle line. For inspection, visually confirm that both edges sit flush against the adjoining surfaces; any gap indicates deviation from 90°. Use light consistent pressure to avoid shifting the square during layout or measurement.

Recommendations

Store the square in a dry environment and protect the edges from impact to maintain accuracy. Clean the edges of debris or adhesive residue before making precision marks. For critical layouts, verify the square periodically against a calibrated reference to ensure continued perpendicular accuracy.
