La Sportiva Tarantula pies de gato

With a 5mm FriXion RS rubber outsole and a comfortable, medium-to-wide fit, the La Sportiva Tarantula Climbing Shoes deliver reliable grip and all-day comfort for beginners and gym climbers. The unlined suede leather upper molds to your foot over time, while the hook-and-loop closure ensures a secure, adjustable fit. A flat profile and low asymmetry keep the shoe forgiving, making it ideal for long sessions on vertical terrain or multi-pitch routes. The 1.8mm LaspoFlex midsole provides just enough support without sacrificing sensitivity, and the padded heel with Pacific lining adds comfort when heel hooking. Weighing approximately 480g per pair, the Tarantula is a durable, versatile choice for anyone building their climbing foundation.

Overview

The Tarantula is La Sportiva's entry-level all-around climbing shoe, built on the RL 45 last with a neutral, flat profile and low asymmetry. It prioritizes comfort and durability, making it perfect for new climbers, gym sessions, and long days on easy to moderate routes. The suede leather upper is unlined in the forefoot for breathability and lined with Pacific in the heel for comfort and structure. A single hook-and-loop strap allows quick on/off and a personalized fit. The FriXion RS rubber compound offers excellent friction and edging capability, while the 5mm outsole thickness provides longevity. The rounded toe box and standard heel shape reduce pressure points, ensuring a pain-free experience even during extended wear.
