Prensaestopas Lapp SKINTOP 53119060

The Lapp SKINTOP 53119060 cable gland is a polyamide cable entry solution designed to provide reliable protection for cables in industrial and commercial installations. Supplied in packs of 25, this gland combines a compact design with resistance to mechanical stress and environmental factors. It creates a secure seal around the cable entry point to reduce the risk of dust and moisture ingress while supporting strain relief and cable retention.

Advantages

This polyamide cable gland offers chemical and mechanical resilience typical of engineered plastic materials, together with lightweight construction that simplifies handling during installation. The design provides consistent clamping force and a positive seal around different cable diameters, helping maintain enclosure integrity. Supplied in a multi-piece pack, it is convenient for repetitive wiring tasks and reduces the need for frequent reordering.

Suitable for

• Cable entry and strain relief for control cabinets and junction boxes
• Industrial machinery and automation panels
• Electrical installations in workshops and production facilities
• Bulk wiring projects and maintenance stock for technicians

Key specifications

• Material: durable polyamide
• Pack quantity: 25 pieces
• Protection: provides dust and moisture protection at cable entry
• Function: cable clamping and strain relief
• Suitable for use in industrial environments where robust plastic glands are required

How to use

Drill or prepare the mounting hole in the enclosure according to the gland’s required panel cut-out size, then insert the gland body through the hole and secure it from the inside if required. Pass the cable through the gland, position it for correct sealing, and tighten the clamping element until a firm grip is achieved without deforming the cable. Ensure the gland compresses uniformly around the cable to form an effective barrier against dust and moisture. Follow any specific installer guidance for cable outer diameter ranges and panel thickness to ensure proper fit.

Recommendations

Verify compatibility of the gland with the cable outer diameter and the enclosure’s panel thickness before mounting. For applications exposed to strong chemical agents or extreme temperatures, confirm material suitability or select a gland rated for those conditions. Store unopened packs in a dry environment to preserve the material properties and keep spare units on hand for maintenance tasks.
