How to use

Power down the laptop and disconnect any power sources before beginning replacement. Remove the laptop’s bottom cover and detach the battery if applicable to avoid electrical damage. Carefully disconnect the old keyboard’s ribbon cable from the motherboard and remove any retaining screws or clips that secure the keyboard. Position the replacement keyboard into the bezel, secure it with screws or clips, and reconnect the ribbon cable to the motherboard, ensuring the connector latch is properly engaged. Reassemble the laptop, restore power, and perform a basic function check to verify all keys and any backlight or special function keys operate correctly.

Recommendations

Handle the keyboard and ribbon cable with care to avoid bending the connector pins. Use a non-magnetic screwdriver and follow static-electricity precautions by grounding yourself before touching internal components. If any keys do not respond after installation, reseat the ribbon connector and verify the connector latch. For backlight or function key issues, check BIOS settings and system drivers to ensure full compatibility.
