The Lexmark 20L8804 paper tray is a high-capacity, add-on paper cassette designed to expand the media handling of compatible Lexmark printers. It accepts up to 1500 sheets and has compact external dimensions of approximately 340 mm width, 540 mm depth and 290 mm height, allowing additional paper capacity without significantly increasing the printer footprint. The tray is intended for use with the specified Lexmark multifunction and laser printers to reduce user intervention for frequent print jobs.

Advantages

This tray increases paper capacity to minimise reloading during large print runs and busy office use. Its compact form factor fits under or beside mounted printers while preserving stable paper feeding. Built to integrate with the printer's paper handling system, it supports reliable pickup and reduces interruptions caused by running out of paper. The tray's design simplifies installation and replacement, making it practical for daily operation.

Suitable for

• Offices and workgroups with medium to high print volumes
• Environments that require long, unattended print jobs
• Departments that need multiple paper sources or media stacks
• Locations seeking to minimise supply replenishment frequency

Key specifications

• Paper capacity: up to 1500 sheets
• Compatible media types: standard office paper, plain paper, and other supported weights within the printer's media specifications
• External dimensions: approximately 340 mm (W) × 540 mm (D) × 290 mm (H)
• Integration: designed to attach to supported Lexmark printer models for automatic paper pickup

How to use

Power down the printer or follow the manufacturer's guidance for adding accessories. Slide the paper tray into the designated expansion slot or attach point until it clicks or seats firmly according to the printer's setup procedure. Adjust internal paper guides to match the paper size being loaded, place the paper stack aligned to the guides, and confirm that the stack height does not exceed the maximum indicated. After installation, power on the printer and verify through the printer control panel or driver settings that the additional tray is recognised and configured for the correct paper size and source.

Recommendations

Use good-quality, properly fanned paper to prevent multi-feed and jams. Keep the tray clean and free of dust; avoid overfilling beyond the stated capacity. Match paper weight and type settings in the printer driver to the media loaded in the tray for optimal feed reliability and print quality.
