Why choose it

The Radxa Taco stands out with its exceptional storage density and networking speed. Five SATA ports allow you to build a RAID array for data redundancy, while the M.2 slot provides fast caching or boot storage. Dual 2.5GbE ports enable link aggregation or separate LAN/WAN routing, making it ideal for high-throughput applications. The 40-pin GPIO header ensures compatibility with a vast ecosystem of Raspberry Pi HATs and sensors, and the RTC keeps accurate time even when powered off.

Ideal use cases

• Building a high-capacity NAS with RAID protection for home or small office
• Creating a custom router/firewall with dual 2.5GbE ports and OpenWRT
• Hosting media servers, home automation, or network-attached storage
• Developing IoT or edge computing projects requiring SATA and NVMe storage

Good to know

The board requires a compatible compute module (Raspberry Pi CM4 or Radxa CM4) and a 12V DC power supply, which are not included. The M.2 slot supports PCIe Gen 2 x1 speeds, suitable for NVMe SSDs up to 2280 size. For wireless connectivity, a Mini-PCIe WiFi card can be added. The RTC battery (CR1220) is user-replaceable.
