EK-Quantum Torque Compression Ring 6-Pack HDC 12 - Red is a locking ring designed for use with EK-Quantum Torque HDC 12 series fittings. It is not a standalone product and requires an existing Torque fitting with a compatible barb. Manufactured from CNC-machined aluminium with a red finish, the pack contains six compression rings intended to secure solid tubing in place on compatible fittings.

Advantages

The compression ring prevents solid tubing from being pulled out by compressing the rubber gasket beneath the ring, creating a secure mechanical hold. Grooves on the exterior surface provide improved grip for hand tightening. Cutouts in the ring follow EK-Quantum’s signature shape so that an aesthetic coloured ring (sold separately) remains visible when assembled. The rings are made from machined aluminium for durability and a consistent finish.

How to use

Place the aesthetic coloured ring (if used) onto the fitting and screw it in place according to the fitting manufacturer’s instructions. Push the hard tubing onto the fitting barb, ensuring the rubber gasket seats correctly. Slide the compression ring over the gasket and thread it onto the fitting until it compresses the gasket evenly to secure the tube. Hand-tighten using the external grooves for grip; avoid over-tightening.

Recommendations

Use only with EK-Quantum Torque HDC 12 fittings and compatible 12 mm hard tubing. Inspect the rubber gasket for damage before installation and replace any worn seals. Do not use the compression ring as a standalone connector — it requires the matching Torque fitting barb and gasket to function correctly.
