ASUS BQ16 triple banda (2,4 GHz / 5 GHz / 6 GHz) Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) Blanco 3 interno

The ASUS BQ16 is a tri-band Wi‑Fi 7 (802.11be) router supporting 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands with a maximum combined throughput of up to 11,529 Mbit/s. Designed for home and small-office networks, the unit features 12 internal antennas, dual 10G-capable interfaces with backup WAN support, 3 Gigabit LAN ports, 2048 MB RAM and 256 MB flash. The compact white enclosure (174.2 × 72 × 214 mm) includes parental controls such as content filtering and time management and is compatible with AiMesh for mesh networking.

Advantages

The router implements Wi‑Fi 7 features including support for 320 MHz channels and 4096-QAM to increase throughput, plus Multi-Link Operation (MLO) for simultaneous multi-band connections. Internal antennas and tri-band operation provide broad coverage while 12 antenna elements help optimise spatial streams. Dual 10G-capable ports and a backup WAN option offer flexible wired connectivity. Subscription-free network security is built in, and AiMesh compatibility enables seamless expansion into a mesh system.

Suitable for

• High-bandwidth home users with multiple 4K/8K streams and gaming
• Small offices requiring fast wireless and wired connections
• Homes that will expand coverage using AiMesh mesh networking
• Environments needing advanced parental controls and device management

How to use

Place the router centrally in the coverage area and connect the internet source to the WAN or backup WAN port as required. Power on the device and follow the ASUS setup wizard via the web interface or mobile app to configure SSIDs, security (WPA3 where supported), parental controls and AiMesh settings. For wired devices, connect computers or switches to the LAN ports. Update firmware when prompted to ensure latest features and security.

Recommendations

Position the router elevated and away from large metal objects or sources of interference for best 6 GHz performance; enable MLO and 320 MHz channels for compatible client devices to achieve maximum throughput, and use AiMesh nodes to cover larger homes.
