Atornillador-taladro a batería Makita DDF492Z 18V 2 velocidades, motor sin escobillas, cuerpo compacto

The Makita DDF492Z is an 18V cordless drill driver with a brushless motor and a 2-speed gearbox, engineered for drilling and screwdriving tasks in wood, metal and plastics. Its compact body combines reduced weight and improved balance to facilitate work in confined spaces and overhead applications. The tool features adjustable torque settings, a keyless chuck for quick bit changes and an integrated LED work light to illuminate the work area. Designed to accept Makita 18V battery packs, this model is suitable for both professional tradespeople and DIY users seeking efficient, battery-powered performance.

Advantages

The brushless motor delivers higher energy efficiency and longer runtime compared with brushed alternatives, reducing heat and wear during continuous operation. The two-speed gearbox provides flexibility between higher torque for screwdriving and higher speed for drilling. A compact ergonomic body improves control and access in tight spots. Adjustable torque settings allow precise fastening without overdriving, while the keyless chuck speeds up accessory changes. The built-in LED work light enhances visibility in low-light conditions.

Suitable for

• Drilling holes in wood, metal and plastic materials
• Screwdriving and fastening in cabinetry, furniture assembly and light construction
• Work in confined spaces and overhead tasks thanks to its compact design
• General maintenance and DIY projects requiring portable power

Key specifications

• Voltage: 18 V (compatible with the manufacturer’s 18V battery system)
• Motor type: brushless for increased efficiency and reduced maintenance
• Gearbox: 2-speed transmission for selectable torque and speed ranges
• Chuck type: keyless single-sleeve for quick bit changes
• Torque control: multi-step adjustable clutch for precise fastening
• Work light: integrated LED to illuminate the drilling area
• Design: compact body for improved access and handling

How to use

Install a compatible 18V battery pack according to the battery manufacturer’s instructions and ensure it is fully charged before starting work. Select the appropriate drill bit or screwdriver bit and insert it into the keyless chuck, then tighten the chuck by hand until the bit is secure. Choose the correct speed range using the 2-speed selector and set the torque level on the adjustable clutch for the material and fastener size. Position the bit on the work surface, apply steady pressure, and operate the trigger to drill or drive screws. Use the LED light for better visibility in dim areas and allow the tool to cool during extended use.

Recommendations

Use the drill with batteries recommended by the tool manufacturer to ensure proper voltage and overload protection. For metal drilling, start with a pilot hole and use appropriate drill bits; for screwdriving, reduce torque settings to avoid stripping. Keep vents clear of debris, and store the tool and batteries in a dry environment. Regularly inspect bits and the chuck for wear and replace them when necessary to maintain safe, efficient operation.
