Atornillador-taladro compacto a batería Metabo BS 18 — 18 V LiPo, 1,3 kg, portabrocas de sujeción rápida, 1 cm, 1600 rpm, 20 mm madera

Metabo BS 18 is a cordless pistol-grip drill designed for everyday drilling and light fastening tasks. Powered by an 18 V LiPo battery system, this compact tool weighs approximately 1.3 kg and offers a no-load speed up to 1600 RPM. The drill is equipped with a keyless chuck that accepts bits up to 1 cm in diameter and can achieve drilling diameters in wood up to 20 mm. Supplied with two batteries, the tool is intended for home improvement, workshop and maintenance applications where portability and ease of use are important.

Advantages

The Metabo BS 18 combines a lightweight design with an 18 V LiPo power source to deliver a balance of runtime and manageable weight during prolonged use. The keyless chuck allows quick bit changes without additional tools, while the compact pistol-grip form factor improves access in confined spaces. With a maximum no-load speed of 1600 RPM the drill provides sufficient rotational speed for a range of drilling and light screwdriving operations in wood, metal and composite materials.

Suitable for

• General DIY and household repairs
• Drilling holes in wood up to 20 mm diameter
• Light metal drilling and fastening tasks
• Assembling furniture and installing fixtures
• Workshop and site maintenance where portability is needed

Key specifications

• Voltage: 18 V LiPo
• Weight: approximately 1.3 kg (tool only)
• No-load speed: up to 1600 RPM
• Chuck type: keyless, accepts bits up to 1 cm diameter
• Maximum drilling diameter in wood: 20 mm
• Included batteries: two rechargeable batteries (supplied)

How to use

Install a charged battery into the tool according to the manufacturer’s guidance and select an appropriate drill bit for the material and hole size required. Secure the bit in the keyless chuck by inserting it and tightening the chuck firmly by hand. Position the drill perpendicular to the workpiece, set the required speed and apply steady pressure while drilling. For screwdriving, use the correct bit and control torque by adjusting speed and pressure; avoid excessive force to prevent bit slip or material damage. After use, remove the battery and store the tool and batteries in a dry, cool place.

Recommendations

Use sharp, correctly sized bits for the material to improve efficiency and reduce wear. For continuous or heavy-duty tasks consider rotating batteries to maintain consistent power. Always follow safety measures: wear eye protection, clamp workpieces when possible and allow the motor to cool if it becomes hot during extended use.
