With the active USB 2.0 connecting cable AXAGON ADR-215B, 15 meters long, you will be able to connect, for example, a printer, scanner, plotter or other USB-B device to your computer. The active USB repeater cable strengthens the passing signal and allows you to connect a significantly more distant USB device than the passive cables. A great advantage of the ADR-215B extension is an integrated auxiliary power supply connector. In most cases, USB bus power is sufficient, but for devices with larger power consumption the USB power supply may be inadequate and auxiliary power from the mains may resolve the problem.

How to use

Connect the USB Type A male end to your computer and the USB Type B male end to the remote device. If the connected device draws more current than the USB bus provides, plug the included USB‑A to 3.5 mm power cable into a 5 V/≥1 A USB‑A power source (for example a mobile charger) and insert the 3.5 mm jack into the auxiliary power connector on the active module. The cable supports daisy‑chaining with passive USB cables behind the active segment and requires no additional drivers on supported operating systems.

Recommendations

For devices with higher power consumption, use the included power cable and a USB‑A charger rated at least 1 A to ensure stable operation. To extend the reach beyond 15 m, combine this active repeater with additional AXAGON USB extension cables following USB specifications.
