Cable óptico activo (AOC) CBO SFP-AOC-10G-15M 10G, SFP+ a SFP+, 15 m

CBO SFP-AOC-10G-15M is a 15-meter Active Optical Cable (AOC) featuring SFP+ to SFP+ connectors and supporting 10 Gbps data rates. It is engineered for short- to mid-range high-speed links in data center environments, providing a single-cable solution that integrates optical transceivers and fiber into a lightweight, factory-terminated assembly. The cable reduces the need for separate transceivers and patch cords, simplifies rack-to-rack or switch-to-server connectivity, and offers lower latency and reduced power consumption compared with equivalent copper connections.

Advantages

The AOC design delivers predictable signal performance over the full 15 m length while eliminating installation of separate transceiver modules and fiber patching. Its low weight and compact form factor free rack space and ease installation in dense cabling environments. Optical transmission reduces electromagnetic interference and supports stable 10 Gbps throughput with lower power usage than traditional copper alternatives.

Suitable for

• High-speed links between switches in the same rack or adjacent racks
• Server-to-switch connections in data centers
• Storage area network (SAN) uplinks and aggregation links
• Environments requiring low-latency, low-power interconnects

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP+ to SFP+
• Data rate: 10 Gbps
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)
• Length: 15 meters
• Form factor: Factory-terminated, plug-and-play assembly
• Application: Short- to mid-range data center links and rack-to-rack interconnects

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP+ connector into compatible SFP+ ports on network switches, servers, or storage devices. The integrated optical transceivers are hot-pluggable and typically recognized automatically by modern network equipment. Ensure ports are configured for 10 Gbps operation as required by your network, and verify link status through device LEDs or management interfaces. Avoid sharp bends and protect the cable from excessive stress at the connector boot to maintain signal integrity.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, route the AOC with gentle bends (observe the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius), keep the cable clear of high-heat sources and mechanical pinch points, and pair with compatible SFP+ ports that support direct attach AOC assemblies. Use in indoor, climate-controlled data center environments and perform link verification after installation.
