Cable óptico activo AOC SFP+ CBO SFP-AOC-10G-20M 10G 20 m

The AOC SFP+ Active Optical Cable CBO SFP-AOC-10G-20M 10G 20m is an active optical cable designed for SFP+ ports and high-speed data links. It delivers a 10 Gbps connection over a 20-metre multimode optical link in a plug-and-play SFP+ form factor. The cable is intended for use in data centers, server rooms and rack-mounted equipment where a compact, low-latency interconnect with immunity to electromagnetic interference is required.

Advantages

This active optical cable provides full 10 Gbps throughput with reduced signal loss compared with long copper runs and offers improved electromagnetic compatibility in electrically noisy environments. The SFP+ form factor allows direct insertion into standard SFP+ ports without additional transceivers, simplifying installation and inventory management. A 20-metre reach enables flexible rack-to-rack connections while maintaining low latency and power efficiency typical of optical interconnects.

Suitable for

• Server-to-switch and switch-to-switch connections in data centers
• High-bandwidth storage area networks and SAN fabrics
• Top-of-rack and end-of-row rack interconnects in enterprise racks
• Environments requiring immunity to electromagnetic interference

Key specifications

• Data rate: 10 Gbps per channel
• Form factor: SFP+ plug-and-play module
• Cable type: active optical cable (AOC)
• Length: 20 metres
• Latency: low propagation delay suitable for latency-sensitive applications
• Compatibility: designed for standard SFP+ ports on switches, servers and storage devices
• Electromagnetic performance: immune to EMI compared with copper cabling

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on the devices to be linked. The cable is hot-pluggable and typically recognized automatically by network equipment that supports SFP+ optics. Ensure both devices are powered and configured for 10 Gbps operation, verify link status via device management interfaces, and monitor for proper link negotiation and error-free operation.

Recommendations

Use this 20 m AOC for short- to medium-distance rack interconnects inside data centers and server rooms. Avoid tight bends and excessive pulling force on the cable; follow rack routing best practices and maintain bend radii recommended by the manufacturer. Confirm device compatibility with SFP+ AOC modules and, if necessary, check firmware settings that may restrict third-party optical modules.
