Cable óptico activo AOC SFP28 CBO AOC-SFP28-CABLE-2M-BO 2 m, SFP28 25 Gbit/s, conector a conector

Active Optical Cable CBO AOC-SFP28-CABLE-2M-BO is a 2 m SFP28 direct-attach solution that supports 25 Gbit/s per lane. Equipped with hot-pluggable male SFP28 connectors at both ends, this AOC provides a low-latency, energy-efficient short-reach link designed for server, switch and storage interconnects in data center environments. The 2 m length and optical transmission eliminate copper-related signal degradation while maintaining compatibility with SFP28 ports for straightforward deployment.

Advantages

The cable delivers 25 Gbit/s performance over a 2 m optical link with reduced electromagnetic interference and improved signal integrity compared to equivalent copper assemblies. Its hot-pluggable SFP28 male connectors simplify installation and replacement without powering down equipment. The optical medium lowers power consumption for short-reach interconnects and ensures consistent throughput and low latency for high-bandwidth applications.

Suitable for

• Short-reach server-to-switch connections in rack and row architectures
• Switch-to-switch uplinks within the same rack or adjacent racks
• High-performance storage array connections requiring 25G links
• Top-of-rack deployments and data center patching where SFP28 ports are available

Key specifications

• Connector type: male SFP28 to male SFP28
• Data rate: 25 Gbit/s per lane
• Length: 2 meters
• Medium: active optical cable (AOC)
• Typical use: short-reach interconnects for servers, switches and storage
• Hot-pluggable: yes

How to use

Insert each male SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your network devices until the latch clicks. Ensure devices support 25 Gbit/s SFP28 modules and are powered according to vendor guidelines before hot-plugging. After insertion, configure link settings on connected devices as required by your network management procedures. For removal, release the connector latch and pull the module straight out to avoid bending or stressing the cable.

Recommendations

Use this 2 m AOC for short-reach links inside racks or between adjacent racks. Verify port compatibility and firmware support on switches and servers to ensure the cable operates at full 25 Gbit/s. Avoid tight bends and maintain recommended bend radius for optical cables to preserve transmission integrity. Store and handle the cable by the connector bodies when unplugging to prevent strain on the optical assembly.
