Cable óptico activo CBO SFP28-AOC-20M 20 m SFP28 AOC para conexiones 25GbE

CBO SFP28-AOC-20M is a 20-meter active optical cable with SFP28 connectors engineered for 25GbE high-speed links. The cable provides a fixed AOC solution for direct server-to-switch or switch-to-switch connections with low latency and immunity to electromagnetic interference. Designed for data centers and enterprise networks, this SFP28 AOC supports reliable short to mid-range optical links while simplifying install and reducing cable management complexity.

Advantages

The Active Optical Cable CBO SFP28-AOC-20M offers high throughput for 25 Gigabit Ethernet applications while maintaining low power consumption compared with equivalent electrical copper cables. Its fixed SFP28 connectors eliminate the need for separate transceivers, which reduces the number of components and simplifies deployment. The optical medium provides electrical isolation and immunity to electromagnetic interference, improving signal integrity in dense rack environments. The 20 m length balances reach and manageability for typical intra-rack and inter-rack links.

Suitable for

• Server-to-switch high-speed connections within data centers
• Switch-to-switch uplinks in enterprise network closets and campus cores
• High-performance computing clusters requiring low-latency 25GbE links
• Environments with strong electromagnetic interference where optical links are preferred

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 to SFP28 active optical cable
• Supported data rate: 25 Gigabit Ethernet (25GbE)
• Length: 20 meters
• Transmission medium: multimode optical fiber within AOC assembly
• Latency: low-latency optical transmission suitable for high-performance networking

How to use

Install the Active Optical Cable CBO SFP28-AOC-20M by inserting each SFP28 connector into compatible SFP28 ports on switches, network interface cards or transceiver cages. Ensure devices are powered off or that the vendor supports hot-plugging for SFP28 modules before insertion. Route the cable to avoid excessive bending and secure it to minimize strain on the connectors. After connection, verify link status and negotiated speed on the network devices and check for any firmware or compatibility notes from the hardware vendor.

Recommendations

Use the SFP28 AOC for short to mid-range 25GbE links inside racks or between adjacent racks; avoid tight bends below the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius and keep connectors free from dust when not in use. Confirm compatibility with switch and server hardware and update device firmware when necessary to ensure optimal link negotiation and performance.
