Cable óptico activo CBO SFP28-AOC-2M 2 m SFP28 AOC para conexiones de 25Gbps

CBO SFP28-AOC-2M is a 2 m active optical cable with SFP28 connectors engineered for 25Gbps links. The cable provides a direct fiber connection between compatible SFP28 ports, eliminating the need for separate transceivers and copper patching. Designed for short-reach interconnects in data centers, switches and servers, this AOC reduces electromagnetic interference and supports low-latency, reliable 25Gbps throughput in dense networking environments.

Advantages

The Active Optical Cable offers compact, lightweight connectivity with lower power consumption compared to comparable copper solutions. Its integrated SFP28 interfaces simplify installation and reduce component count, while the optical medium prevents signal degradation from electromagnetic interference. The fixed 2 m length is suitable for rack-to-rack and within-rack connections where predictable reach and consistent performance are required.

Suitable for

• 25Gbps links between switches and servers
• Short-reach trunking in data center racks
• High-density top-of-rack and end-of-row deployments
• Low-latency connections for virtualised and storage networks

Key specifications

• Data rate: 25 Gbps
• Connector type: SFP28 on both ends
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC)
• Length: 2 metres
• Transmission medium: Multi-mode optical link optimized for short reach
• Typical use: Short-reach rack and switch interconnects

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port until the latch clicks and the port recognises the module. Ensure both host devices support SFP28 AOC modules and are powered on. Verify link status via switch or server management interfaces and confirm 25Gbps link negotiation. For proper operation, avoid sharp bends in the cable and ensure connectors are clean prior to installation.

Recommendations

Use the 2 m Active Optical Cable for short, high-speed connections inside racks or between adjacent racks. Store and route the cable to prevent tight bends, maintain clean connector interfaces and verify firmware or compatibility requirements of host devices for SFP28 AOC modules.
