Cable óptico activo CBO SFP28-AOC-50M-NG-BO — 50 m SFP28 (25Gbit/s) AOC para puertos SFP28

CBO SFP28-AOC-50M-NG-BO is a 50-metre active optical cable with SFP28 connectors engineered for 25 Gbps SFP28 ports. It delivers a pre-terminated fibre link between servers, switches and storage devices, eliminating the need for separate transceivers. The single-cable solution is intended for data centre and enterprise topologies where predictable latency, signal integrity and a compact cabling footprint are required over distances up to 50 m.

Advantages

The Active Optical Cable provides a plug-and-play connection that reduces installation time and complexity compared with discrete transceivers and fibre patch panels. Optical transmission lowers electromagnetic interference and supports stable 25 Gbps throughput with low latency. The integrated SFP28 connectors and factory-terminated fibre ensure consistent optical performance and simplify asset management in dense rack environments.

Suitable for

• 25 Gbps server-to-switch links in data centres
• Switch-to-switch uplinks and leaf-spine fabrics
• High-performance storage area network (SAN) interconnects
• Short-reach inter-rack connections up to 50 metres
• Environments requiring low EMI and compact cabling

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 (both ends)
• Data rate: 25 Gbps per channel
• Maximum reach: 50 metres
• Cable type: active optical cable (AOC) with integrated transceiver electronics
• Form factor compatibility: SFP28 ports
• Typical latency: low, suitable for latency-sensitive applications
• Operating environment: data centre and enterprise indoor use

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP28 connector into compatible SFP28 ports on the host devices until the retention latch engages. No separate transceivers or fibre patching is required. Verify link status via the host device LEDs or management interface and confirm 25 Gbps operation in the switch or server configuration. For removal, depress the latch and withdraw the connector straight out to avoid stressing the fibre assembly.

Recommendations

Route the AOC in cable trays or cable management arms to avoid tight bends; maintain the manufacturers minimum bend radius. Use the cable for indoor data centre and rack-to-rack links only. Confirm port compatibility and firmware support on connected equipment to ensure full 25 Gbps operation and power provisioning for active optics.
