BlueOptics CBL-SFP+AOC-5M-1-BO cable de fibra óptica InfiniBand 5m conector macho/macho

The BlueOptics CBL-SFP+AOC-5M-1-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 5-meter active optical cable (AOC) with SFP+ to SFP+ male connectors designed for high-speed networking. It implements 10GBASE-SR compatible multi-mode optical transmission with integrated transmitter and receiver modules on each end. The pre-assembled AOC delivers a plug-and-play fibre connection suited for switches, routers, storage systems and other network hardware that accept SFP+ modules and AOC links.

Advantages

This 5 m BlueOptics AOC provides stable 10 Gbps data transfer over multimode fibre with immunity to electromagnetic interference and reduced latency compared with copper alternatives. The cable follows MSA-compliant SFP+ form factor standards and includes digital diagnostics monitoring (DDM/DOM) to report parameters such as supply voltage, laser bias current, TX output power, RX input power and internal temperature. Components are selected from established manufacturers to achieve extended operational life and a high mean time between failures.

Suitable for

• Server-to-switch or switch-to-switch 10 Gbps connections within data centers
• Storage area networks and high-throughput SAN links
• High-performance InfiniBand and Ethernet infrastructure requiring low latency
• Short-reach optical interconnects in racks and network closets

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP+ (male) to SFP+ (male)
• Length: 5 metres
• Supported protocol: 10GBASE-SR, Ethernet, Fibre Channel over Ethernet
• Medium: multimode fibre, active optical cable with integrated transceivers
• Data rate: up to 10 Gbps per link
• Digital diagnostics: DDM/DOM (MSA SFF-8472 compliant)
• Immunity to EMI and reduced signal attenuation compared with copper at equivalent distances

How to use

Install the BlueOptics AOC by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ slot on the network devices until the latch engages. Ensure both devices support SFP+ AOC modules and that DDM/DOM is enabled on the hardware if monitoring is required. No additional fibre patching or termination is needed because the cable is factory-assembled; handle the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain recommended bend radius to preserve optical performance. After connection, verify link status and monitor diagnostic parameters through the device management interface if available.

Recommendations

Use this 5 m AOC for short-reach 10 Gbps links inside racks and between adjacent racks. Avoid tight bends and mechanical stress, keep connectors clean when exposed, and confirm device compatibility with SFP+ AOC modules and DDM/DOM support for full diagnostic functionality.
