InfiniBand cable óptico activo CBO 10G-SFPP-AOC-3001-BO 30 m SFP+ naranja

Active optical InfiniBand cable by BlueOptics, model 10G-SFPP-AOC-3001-BO, is a 30 meter SFP+ AOC with an orange jacket designed for 10G shortwave and high-speed links. The cable provides fibre-based connectivity with low latency and immunity to electromagnetic interference, enabling reliable 10G SFP+ connections between switches, servers and storage in rack and data centre environments.

Advantages

The active optical construction ensures signal integrity over the 30 m reach while keeping power consumption and heat generation low compared with media converters. SFP+ form-factor connectors provide hot-pluggable compatibility with standard 10G ports. The fibre medium eliminates EMI concerns found in copper cabling and supports stable performance in dense equipment racks and electrically noisy environments.

Suitable for

• Interconnects between data centre switches and aggregation points
• High-performance compute clusters and InfiniBand fabrics
• Server-to-storage links requiring 10G SFP+ connectivity
• Racks and cabinets where EMI resilience is important

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP+ duplex
• Cable type: active optical cable (AOC)
• Length: 30 m
• Data rate: designed for 10 Gbit/s links
• Jacket colour: orange
• Medium: optical fibre, shortwave single-mode/ multimode compatibility per device support
• Latency: low, suitable for high-performance networking

How to use

Install the SFP+ connectors into compatible 10G SFP+ ports on switches, servers or storage devices while the host ports are powered according to vendor guidelines. Route the 30 m AOC through rack pathways or cable management trays to avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain. Confirm link status and speed negotiation on both endpoints after insertion; no separate transceivers or patch cords are required when used with native SFP+ ports that support AOC modules.

Recommendations

Avoid tight bends and excessive pulling force on the AOC; maintain minimum bend radius specified by the equipment vendor. Use cable management to prevent kinks and secure the orange jacket to reduce the risk of accidental disconnection. Verify compatibility of SFP+ ports with active optical cables in the equipment documentation before deployment.
