BlueOptics K2Q46A-BO cable de fibra óptica InfiniBand 5m MPO 4x LC dúplex

The BlueOptics K2Q46A-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 5m MPO 4x LC Duplex is a multimode trunk cable engineered for high-density, high-speed interconnects in data centre and enterprise network environments. It combines an MPO connector on one end with four LC duplex terminations to support parallel optics and lane splitting for InfiniBand links. The 5 metre length provides flexible routing between racks, switches and transceivers while maintaining signal integrity for short-range, high-bandwidth links.

Advantages

This cable supports parallel optic topologies through an MPO to 4x LC duplex breakout, enabling straightforward migration to InfiniBand and other high-speed interconnect standards. It is optimized for short-range multimode transmission, offering low insertion loss and consistent performance across multiple lanes. The male-to-male connector configuration simplifies installation between compatible transceivers and patch panels, and the 5 m length balances reach with manageable cable routing within server rooms and telecom closets.

Key specifications

• Cable type: multimode fibre optic trunk with MPO to 4×LC duplex breakout
• Length: 5 metres
• Connector configuration: MPO (male) to 4× LC duplex (male/male breakout)
• Intended use: short-range, high-bandwidth InfiniBand and parallel optics links
• Typical transmission: multimode parallel lanes suitable for QSFP/InfiniBand transceivers
• Construction: tight-buffered multimode fibres in a compact trunk assembly

How to use

Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and sources of electromagnetic interference, and secure it within cable management trays or organisers. Insert the MPO connector into a compatible MPO transceiver or panel port until the latch engages, then connect each LC duplex pair to the corresponding LC ports on the target device or patch panel. Verify lane mapping and polarity according to the transceiver vendor’s guidelines, and perform an optical test or link validation after installation to confirm signal continuity and acceptable loss levels.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable by its connector housings; keep protective dust caps on unused connectors. Maintain bend radii recommended for multimode fibres to avoid increased attenuation. Use appropriate cleaning tools on MPO and LC endfaces before mating to ensure reliable performance. For critical links, verify lane assignment and test optical loss with calibrated instruments after installation.
