SFP+ AOC 10G 3m CBO SFP-AOC-10G-3M cable óptico activo para conexiones de 10 Gigabit

The BlueOptics SFP-AOC-10G-3M is a 3-meter SFP+ active optical cable (AOC) engineered for 10 Gigabit Ethernet links. It provides a direct fiber connection between SFP+ ports on switches, servers and network appliances, offering low latency and fixed-length simplicity for rack-to-rack interconnects, data center uplinks and high-speed aggregation. The AOC design reduces electromagnetic interference and supports hot-plug installation for straightforward deployment and reliable 10G connectivity.

Advantages

This active optical cable delivers consistent 10G performance with reduced signal attenuation compared to copper twinax solutions at similar distances. The integrated transceivers and factory-terminated fiber ensure plug-and-play compatibility with SFP+ ports, while the 3 m fixed length simplifies cable management and avoids the need for field terminations. Low power consumption and immunity to electromagnetic interference make it suitable for dense rack environments and long-term installations.

Suitable for

• Server-to-switch and switch-to-switch connections within racks
• Data center top-of-rack and end-of-row uplinks
• High-bandwidth links for virtualization and storage networks
• Network appliances and blade chassis with SFP+ ports

Key specifications

• Form factor: SFP+ active optical cable (AOC)
• Nominal data rate: 10 Gigabit Ethernet
• Length: 3 meters
• Connector type: SFP+ integrated transceivers on both ends
• Transmission medium: multimode optical fiber with active electronics
• Latency: low, suitable for high-performance networking
• Installation: hot-pluggable

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on the networking devices until the latch clicks to secure the module. Ensure both devices support SFP+ AOC modules and are powered according to their manufacturer instructions. After insertion, verify link status and negotiate 10G speed through the devices' management interfaces. Avoid excessive bending of the cable near the connectors and route the cable to minimize mechanical stress.

Recommendations

Use the 3 m BlueOptics AOC for short-reach, high-bandwidth interconnects inside racks or between adjacent racks. Maintain a bend radius consistent with multimode fiber best practices, keep connectors clean, and confirm compatibility with your switch or server vendor's supported transceivers list when required.
