Broca para vidrio Metabo 627245000

The Metabo 627245000 glass drill bit is designed for precise drilling in glass materials. This single-piece drill bit operates with right-hand rotation to create clean, accurate holes while minimising the risk of cracking the glass when used with appropriate technique and equipment. Its purpose is to produce smoothly finished openings in glass for fittings, fixtures or pass-throughs in both DIY and professional settings.

Advantages

The Metabo glass drill bit delivers controlled cutting action on glass surfaces, allowing accurate hole placement and consistent results. As a single-piece tool it provides stability during operation and straightforward handling. The right-hand rotation design matches standard drill setups and supports efficient drilling when combined with suitable drill speed, cooling and support for the workpiece. The geometry of the bit is intended to reduce chipping and to help maintain a clean edge around the drilled hole.

Suitable for

• Drilling holes in glass panes and tiles for fittings and fixtures
• Home improvement and DIY glass projects
• Professional glazing and installation tasks requiring precise glass openings

Key specifications

• Designed specifically for use on glass materials
• Right-hand rotation operation
• Supplied as a single drill bit
• Intended for precise, clean hole creation in glass

How to use

Secure the glass workpiece on a flat, supported surface and mark the drilling point clearly. Use a drill with variable speed control and fit the Metabo 627245000 glass drill bit in the chuck ensuring it is properly tightened. Begin drilling at low speed with steady pressure; maintain cooling (for example, with water) at the contact point to reduce heat and prevent cracking. Increase speed gradually only if the bit is cutting smoothly. Complete the hole with controlled withdrawal of the bit to avoid sudden movement that could damage the glass.

Recommendations

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye protection and gloves. Use a clamp or support to stabilise the glass and apply cooling during drilling. Avoid excessive pressure and high speeds; follow the drill manufacturers guidance for glass drilling. If unsure about the material or technique, test on a scrap piece of glass first.
