Cable de fibra óptica InfiniBand ShiverPeaks 77916/4 2 m

The ShiverPeaks InfiniBand fibre optic cable 77916/4 is a 2 m multimode link designed for high-speed data transfer in data centre and network environments. This cable uses OM4-grade multimode fibre with a 50 µm core diameter and SC connectors on both ends. It supports full-duplex communication and is intended for short to medium-reach interconnects where low attenuation and stable signal performance are required.

Advantages

The OM4 multimode construction provides improved bandwidth and lower modal dispersion compared with lower-grade multimode fibres, enabling higher data rates over typical data centre distances. SC connectors offer a secure, easy-to-install interface that is widely compatible with network equipment that accepts SC terminations. The 2 m length balances flexibility and cable management in rack and cabinet installations while preserving signal quality for InfiniBand links.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting switches, host channel adapters and storage systems in data centres
• High-throughput InfiniBand networks and cluster computing links
• Short- to medium-range fibre runs within server racks and between adjacent cabinets

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC (both ends)
• Length: 2 m
• Mode of transmission: Full duplex

How to use

Install the fibre optic cable by aligning and inserting the SC connectors into the corresponding SC ports of your devices until they click into place. Ensure both ends are clean and free of dust before connection to maintain optimal signal integrity. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; follow your facility's cable management practices and bend radius specifications for OM4 multimode fibre.

Recommendations

Use appropriate fibre cleaning tools before each connection and avoid excessive pulling or tight bends. For best performance in InfiniBand installations, verify link speed and transceiver compatibility with OM4 multimode fibre and confirm full-duplex operation in your network devices.
