Cable de fibra óptica LOGON AL5SCSC03I/5I OM5 3 m SC–SC 50 µm dúplex completo verde claro

LOGON AL5SCSC03I/5I OM5 3 m SC–SC is a 3-metre multimode fibre optic patch cable with SC connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter. The cable uses WideBand OM5 bend-insensitive multimode fibre optimized for short-wavelength division multiplexing (SWDM) and multi-wavelength transceivers. Its light green jacket identifies the OM5 specification and the assembly is intended for full-duplex data transmission in data centre and enterprise multimode networks over short to medium distances.

Advantages

The OM5 core delivers OM4-equivalent performance across a wider spectral window (850–950 nm), enabling multi-wavelength solutions for higher aggregate data rates such as 40/100/400 Gb/s using SWDM. Bend-insensitive construction reduces macro- and micro-bending loss, allowing installation in compact trays and tight bend radii. Standard SC connectors on both ends provide a simple, reliable interface compatible with common multimode transceivers and patch panels.

Suitable for

• Short- to medium-range links in data centres and server rooms
• High-speed multimode Ethernet (including 100 Gb/s) and InfiniBand links
• Multi-wavelength/SWDM deployments and future-proof upgrades
• Patching between switches, transceivers and optical distribution frames

Key specifications

• Fibre type: WideBand OM5 multimode (50 µm core)
• Length: 3 m
• Connector 1: SC male
• Connector 2: SC male
• Transmission: Full duplex multimode
• Jacket colour: Light green (OM5 identification)
• Bend insensitivity: Low macro- and micro-bending sensitivity
• Optimised wavelength window: 850–950 nm for SWDM applications

How to use

Route the fibre cable avoiding sharp edges and maintain recommended minimum bend radii during installation. Insert SC connectors into matching SC ports until they click into place; observe correct orientation for full-duplex links. Keep connector endfaces clean and protected before mating; use a fibre inspection and cleaning procedure when connecting to active equipment. Test the link with appropriate multimode test equipment or use validated transceivers to confirm expected performance.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable according to standard fibre optic practices: avoid excessive pulling force, maintain bend radii, and keep connectors capped when not in use. For multi-wavelength or SWDM systems, verify transceiver and channel compatibility with OM5 fibre specifications and perform end-to-end testing after installation.
