Cable de fibra óptica ShiverPeaks BS77901/3 1 m ST aqua

The ShiverPeaks BS77901/3 1m ST Aqua is an OM3 multimode fibre optic patch cable designed for short-range, high-speed network connections. With a 50 µm core diameter and ST connectors on both ends, this 1-metre cable supports full duplex transmission and is intended for use in structured cabling, patch panels, and device-to-device links. The aqua jacket identifies it as OM3 multimode fibre and provides visible routing in rack and data centre environments.

Advantages

This OM3 fibre cable delivers consistent multimode performance for applications requiring high bandwidth and low latency. The ST connectors provide reliable push-and-turn coupling for legacy and modern networking equipment that accepts bayonet-style terminations. The 1 m length offers a compact connection option that reduces excess cable bulk in patching areas. The aqua-coloured jacket simplifies identification and cable management in mixed-fibre installations.

Suitable for

• Short-range data centre and server room patching
• Connections between switches, routers and transceivers with ST interfaces
• Structured cabling within wiring closets and patch panels
• Multi-mode fibre links requiring OM3 performance

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM3 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 1 metre
• Connector type: ST to ST (bayonet)
• Transmission mode: Full duplex
• Jacket colour: Aqua

How to use

Connect each ST connector to the corresponding ST port on networking devices or patch panels by aligning the keyed ferrule and securing with the bayonet twist. Ensure both ends are clean and free of dust before mating to maintain signal integrity. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress; maintain the manufacturer's recommended minimum bend radius for multimode fibre. For full duplex links, verify that transceivers and ports are configured for matching transmit/receive pairs.

Recommendations

Inspect and clean connector endfaces before installation using appropriate fibre cleaning tools. Use cable management accessories to prevent tight bends and abrasion. For critical links, perform optical testing or certify the connection to confirm insertion loss and return loss meet system requirements.
