Cable de instalación Digitus A/I-DQ (ZN) BH 50/125 µ, OM4, 4 fibras

Installation Cable Digitus A/I-DQ (ZN) BH 50/125 µ, OM4, 4 fibers is a loose-tube fiber optic cable designed for high-performance network links. The cable uses OM4 multimode fibers with a 50/125 µm core/cladding, contains four fibers in a central loose tube, and features non-metallic rodent protection. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor installation with LSZH outer sheath and meets CPR class Dca.

Advantages

The loose-tube construction provides high tensile strength and flexibility while keeping a compact cable diameter. OM4 50/125 µm fibers deliver improved bandwidth and link quality for high-speed data transmission. Non-metallic rodent protection reduces risk of physical damage without adding conductive elements, and LSZH/CPR Dca materials limit smoke and hazardous emissions in case of fire. The product family is subject to ISO 9001 quality controls and materials comply with REACh and RoHS requirements.

Suitable for

• Short- and medium-distance multimode network links (data centers, local networks)
• Indoor installations where low-smoke zero-halogen (LSZH) sheathing is required
• Outdoor ducts or building entry runs where CPR Dca compliance is needed
• Environments requiring non-metallic rodent protection

Key specifications

• Fiber type: OM4 multimode
• Core/cladding diameter: 50/125 µm
• Number of fibers: 4 (central loose tube)
• Rodent protection: non-metallic
• Sheath: LSZH (low smoke, zero halogen)
• CPR rating: Dca
• Compliance: ISO 9001 quality control, REACh and RoHS material compliance
• Length (example product unit): 1 m (as specified in product data)

How to use

Plan the route for the cable maintaining appropriate bend radius for multimode fiber and avoiding tight bends or crushing. Prepare fiber terminations or patch panels according to standard fiber-optic installation practices, using suitable connectors and splicing methods for OM4 multimode fiber. Secure the cable with appropriate clamps or ties that do not compress the sheath, and protect entry points with suitable glands or seals. Follow local regulations and building codes for indoor/outdoor transitions and fire safety.

Recommendations

Maintain the manufacturer's recommended minimum bend radius during installation and service, store and handle the cable in a clean environment to prevent contamination of fiber ends, and perform optical testing (insertion loss/OTDR where applicable) after installation to verify link performance.
