Plug one RJ45 end into the network device (switch, router, hub, network card or print server) and the other end into the corresponding port on the second device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to guarantee reliable contact. Route the flat cable along the chosen path — behind skirting boards, under carpet edges or along walls — keeping it free from sharp bends that could stress the conductors. For rack use, run the cable along cable channels or tie points to keep it secure and maintain airflow.
