Cable DisplayPort ShiverPeaks BASIC-S 5 m

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S 5m DisplayPort cable provides a 5 meter connection with DisplayPort connectors on both ends for transmission of high-definition video and audio between compatible devices. The cable is intended for reliable wired connections between computers, monitors, projectors and other DisplayPort-enabled devices where a longer reach is required. Its construction focuses on consistent signal transmission over the 5 m length to support typical desktop and meeting-room setups.

Advantages

This 5m DisplayPort cable offers extended reach compared with short patch leads while maintaining a single-cable solution for video and audio. The cable's DisplayPort terminations ensure compatibility with standard DisplayPort ports and allow straightforward plug-and-play use without additional adapters. The design emphasizes durability for regular connection cycles and stable performance in home and office environments.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs or laptops to external monitors at a distance up to 5 m
• Linking computers to projectors in small meeting rooms or classrooms
• Replacing or extending an existing DisplayPort connection where additional cable length is needed

Key specifications

• Cable length: 5 metres
• Connector type: DisplayPort to DisplayPort
• Supports transmission of video and audio over a single cable
• Intended for desktop and AV display connections

How to use

Connect one end of the cable to the DisplayPort output on your source device (for example a PC or laptop) and the other end to the DisplayPort input on your monitor or projector. Ensure both devices are powered and set to the appropriate input source. The cable supports standard plug-and-play operation; if required, adjust display settings in the operating system to configure resolution, multi-display arrangements or audio output routing.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, avoid sharp bends and excessive strain near the connectors and route the cable to minimize interference from large power cables or unshielded RF sources. Verify the monitor and graphics output settings to match the desired resolution and refresh rate supported by your devices.
