Cable HDMI ShiverPeaks BS30-01505 50 m

The ShiverPeaks BS30-01505 HDMI cable 50m is a single-ended HDMI Type A to Type A lead designed for long-distance digital video and audio connections. With a 50 metre length and gold-plated contacts, the cable provides stable signal transmission for installations where source equipment and displays are separated by extended runs. The cable supports 3D video formats and a data transfer throughput of 17.819 Gbit/s, making it suitable for many full HD and some high-bandwidth video applications. The black outer jacket offers a neutral appearance that integrates into home, office or professional AV setups.

Advantages

The cable's extended 50 m length enables flexible placement of displays and source hardware without the need for repeaters in typical environments. Gold-plated contacts reduce contact resistance and corrosion risk to maintain reliable connections over time. A specified data transfer rate of 17.819 Gbit/s ensures compatibility with common HDMI video and multi-channel audio signals while support for 3D content preserves stereoscopic playback options. The use of standard HDMI Type A connectors on both ends simplifies compatibility with TVs, monitors, projectors, AV receivers and media players that accept full-size HDMI plugs.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Connecting a media player, set-top box or PC to a TV or projector across a long run
• AV system installations in conference rooms, classrooms or home cinemas where devices are distant
• Connecting displays in retail or public signage applications requiring a discreet black cable

Key specifications

• Cable length: 50 m
• Connectors: HDMI Type A (both ends)
• Data transfer rate: 17.819 Gbit/s
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance
• Supported formats: 3D video support
• Colour: black

How to use

Route the 50 m HDMI cable between the source device and the display, avoiding sharp bends and heavy compression along the run. Insert standard HDMI Type A plugs securely into the HDMI ports on the source and display until the connectors seat fully. For long runs, maintain separation from mains power cables and strong electromagnetic sources to reduce potential interference. If signal issues appear, check connector seating and test with shorter cables or amplifiers as appropriate for the installation.

Recommendations

For stable performance over this length, use proper cable management, avoid kinking the cable, and verify connector fit. In installations with frequent reconfiguration or marginal signal quality, consider adding an HDMI signal booster or an active cable designed for extended high-bandwidth runs.
