Cable HDMI ShiverPeaks BS77479-5.0 5 m

The ShiverPeaks BS77479-5.0 HDMI Cable is a 5 m black HDMI Type A lead with male and female connectors and gold-plated contacts designed to maintain reliable digital signal transmission between compatible audio-visual devices. The cable supports 3D video formats and is intended for extending or connecting HDMI-equipped devices such as TVs, projectors and gaming consoles while preserving picture and sound integrity over a longer reach.

Advantages

This HDMI cable combines a 5 metre length with gold-plated contacts to reduce contact resistance and improve long-term corrosion resistance. The use of standard HDMI Type A connectors on both ends ensures broad compatibility with common consumer electronics. The black jacket provides a discreet appearance for home or professional AV installations, and the cable construction is aimed at maintaining a stable digital signal for high-definition video and multichannel audio transmission.

Suitable for

• Connecting a TV to a set-top box, Blu-ray player or streaming device located up to 5 m away
• Extending the reach between a gaming console and a display or projector
• Connecting a projector in a small-to-medium meeting room or home theater
• Replacing or routing an HDMI connection where a black cable is preferred for aesthetics

Key specifications

• Cable length: 5 m
• Connector type: HDMI Type A (Standard) on both ends
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance
• Supported formats: 3D video support and standard HDMI digital audio/video
• Colour: Black

How to use

Connect the male HDMI Type A plug to the HDMI output of the source device (for example a Blu-ray player, console or set-top box) and plug the female HDMI Type A end into the HDMI input of the display device, projector or an extension adapter as required. Ensure both devices are powered off when connecting or disconnecting to avoid potential signal interruptions. After connection, power the devices and select the appropriate HDMI input on the display. If audio or video is not present, verify that cables are fully seated and input/source settings on both devices are correct.

Recommendations

Avoid sharp bends and excessive tension on the cable to maintain signal integrity. Keep the cable away from large power cables and sources of electromagnetic interference when routing to reduce the risk of signal degradation. For distances greater than 5 m, consider using an active HDMI solution or a cable rated for longer runs to ensure consistent high-definition performance.
