Cable HDMI ShiverPeaks SP 77478 20 m

The ShiverPeaks SP 77478 20 m HDMI cable is a long-reach HDMI Type A cable with male connectors on both ends, intended for transmitting high-quality digital video and audio signals over an extended distance. The cable supports 3D content and uses gold-plated contacts to improve contact reliability and reduce corrosion. Its 20-metre length is suitable for installations where source and display devices are located far apart; the blue jacket provides a visually distinct appearance in AV setups.

Advantages

This HDMI cable combines long reach with standard HDMI Type A compatibility, allowing reliable connection between TVs, projectors, AV receivers and source devices. Gold-plated contacts enhance durability and help maintain signal integrity by reducing contact resistance and oxidation. Support for 3D content ensures compatibility with a range of video formats and playback devices. The flexible jacket and length allow routing through ceilings, behind furniture or inside cable channels while maintaining signal performance for typical consumer AV applications.

Suitable for

• Connecting Blu-ray players, set-top boxes or media players to distant TVs and projectors
• Home cinema installations where long cable runs are required
• Conference rooms and classrooms requiring a single long HDMI run between source and display
• AV setups where visible cable color coding (blue) helps identification

Key specifications

• Connector type: HDMI Type A (male-to-male)
• Length: 20 metres
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts for improved corrosion resistance
• Signal support: digital video and audio transmission with 3D support
• Color: blue jacket

How to use

Route the cable between your source device and display, avoiding tight bends and sharp kinks that could damage the internal conductors. Insert the male HDMI connectors firmly into the HDMI ports of both devices until they seat securely. If the cable runs through walls or ceilings, use appropriate conduit or cable management to protect the jacket from abrasion. After connection, configure source and display settings as required for resolution and 3D playback; ensure devices are powered and set to the correct HDMI input.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep the cable run clear of strong electromagnetic interference sources (large transformers, unshielded power cables) and avoid excessive bending radii. If longer distances or higher bandwidths are needed, evaluate active HDMI solutions or signal extenders designed for runs beyond 20 metres.
