Cable óptico activo AOC CBO SFP+ BlueOptics BO353503J20M 10G, 20 m

AOC SFP+ BlueOptics BO353503J20M is a 10G active optical cable (AOC) with a fixed 20 m length and SFP+ connector compatibility. It is engineered for short-distance high-speed links between switches, servers and storage devices, offering 10 Gigabit per second data rates while reducing electromagnetic interference and simplifying rack-to-rack cabling in data center environments.

Advantages

The BlueOptics 10G active optical cable delivers consistent 10 Gbps throughput over a 20 m span while maintaining low latency and signal integrity. Being an active optical assembly, it integrates transceiver electronics and optical fiber in a single pre-terminated cable, which reduces connector loss and installation complexity. The cable’s immunity to electromagnetic interference improves reliability in dense cabling environments and helps maintain predictable network performance.

Suitable for

• Rack-to-rack connections in data centers
• Switch-to-switch or switch-to-server high-speed links
• Short-distance storage area network (SAN) interconnects
• High-density patching environments requiring compact cable management

Key specifications

• Data rate: 10 Gigabit per second (10 Gbps)
• Connector type: SFP+ form factor
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC)
• Length: 20 meters
• Transmission medium: optical fiber with integrated transceiver electronics
• Typical use: short-reach multimode-like applications within racks and between adjacent racks

How to use

Install the BO353503J20M by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on network switches, servers or storage devices until it seats securely. Ensure devices are powered down or follow hot-plug guidelines from the equipment vendor when inserting or removing SFP+ modules. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain minimum bend radius specified by the manufacturer, and secure it using standard cable management to prevent strain on the connectors. Confirm link status and speed via the network device interface after installation.

Recommendations

Use this active optical cable in short-reach links up to 20 m inside racks or between adjacent racks; avoid outdoor exposure and direct mechanical stress. Check compatibility with your equipment’s SFP+ ports and firmware requirements before deployment, and follow standard electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions during handling and installation.
