Cable óptico activo CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q1M 1 m para puertos SFP28

Active optical cable CBO BlueOptics BO272703Q1M is a 1 m, SFP28-form-factor link designed for 25 Gbps connections between SFP28 ports in switches, servers and storage systems. The pre-terminated AOC provides a single-cable optical interconnect that replaces equivalent short-reach electrical cables, offering a lightweight, low-profile solution for short-distance, high-bandwidth links in data center and telecom racks. The cable is intended for plug-and-play use and supports point-to-point connections without separate transceivers.

Advantages

This BlueOptics active optical cable delivers high data throughput at 25 Gbps while reducing electromagnetic interference and improving signal integrity compared to copper assemblies. The integrated optical transceivers eliminate the need for separate modules, lowering installation time and simplifying inventory. With a short 1 m length and flexible jacket, the cable reduces weight and eases routing in dense rack environments, helping maintain consistent performance for server-to-switch and switch-to-switch links.

Suitable for

• Server-to-switch connections in data centers
• Switch-to-switch high-speed links within racks
• Interconnects for storage arrays and SAN equipment
• Short-reach telecom rack cabling and patching

Key specifications

• Form factor: SFP28 (integrated active optical cable ends)
• Data rate: 25 Gbps per lane
• Length: 1 meter
• Connector type: SFP28 compatible plug-and-play ends
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC) with integrated optical transceivers
• Application: Short-reach, high-bandwidth interconnects in rack environments

How to use

Insert each SFP28 end into compatible SFP28 ports on the two devices to be connected, ensuring the ports are powered off or follow hot-plug procedures recommended by the equipment manufacturer. The cable is pre-terminated and requires no additional transceivers or patching. After seating both ends, verify link status via the devices' management interfaces and ensure firmware or driver compatibility with SFP28 optical modules if applicable.

Recommendations

Route the 1 m AOC with gentle bends only, respecting the minimum bend radius specified by the cable manufacturer. Avoid tight kinks, excessive pulling force, and exposure to sources of physical damage or strong electromagnetic fields. Use appropriate port dust caps when ports are unused and confirm that connected equipment supports SFP28 AOC modules for optimal compatibility and performance.
