Cable óptico activo CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q30M 30 m para conexiones 25GbE SFP28

The CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q30M is a 30-meter active optical cable with SFP28 connectors engineered for 25GbE SFP28 ports. This plug-and-play fiber cable provides a direct optical link between compatible switches, servers and network interface cards without the need for separate transceivers. The 30 m optical reach reduces electromagnetic interference and cabling bulk compared to copper alternatives, making it suitable for rack-to-rack and in-row connections inside data centers and enterprise network rooms.

Advantages

The active optical cable delivers low-latency, high-bandwidth connectivity for 25GbE links while maintaining power efficiency and consistent signal integrity over 30 meters. Its integrated SFP28 connectors simplify installation and reduce the number of parts needed in a network rack. By using fiber-based transmission, the cable minimizes crosstalk and susceptibility to electromagnetic interference and helps keep cable runs thinner and lighter than equivalent copper assemblies.

Suitable for

• Rack-to-rack connections in data centers and colocation facilities
• Server-to-switch and switch-to-switch links requiring 25GbE bandwidth
• High-performance computing clusters and storage area networks
• Environments where reduced electromagnetic interference and compact cable management are priorities

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 on both ends
• Nominal data rate: 25 Gigabit Ethernet
• Cable type: active optical cable (AOC)
• Maximum reach: 30 meters
• Transmission medium: optical fiber
• Intended use: direct attach for compatible 25GbE SFP28 ports

How to use

Install the cable by inserting the SFP28 connectors into the appropriate SFP28 ports on both devices until they latch. Ensure both ends are compatible with 25GbE SFP28 ports and powered-off or hot-swappable according to your equipment guidelines. No separate optical transceivers or patch cords are required; the cable functions as an integrated optical link. Verify link status via the connected devices' management interfaces and monitor for expected speed and link integrity.

Recommendations

Handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid tight bends or kinks in the optical cable. Maintain the recommended bend radius stated by the equipment provider, route the cable to minimize stress on the connectors, and avoid exposure to fluids or extreme temperatures. Confirm firmware and hardware compatibility with your switches and NICs for proper link negotiation and performance.
