Cable óptico activo CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q3M 3 m — SFP28 a SFP28, activo 25Gb/s

Active Optical Cable CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q3M 3 m is a factory-terminated SFP28-to-SFP28 fiber assembly designed for 25Gb/s links. The 3-meter AOC provides a low-latency, pre-terminated optical connection between compatible SFP28 ports on switches, servers and storage devices. As a plug-and-play cable, it removes the need for separate transceivers and fiber patching, simplifying cabling in racks and data center topologies while maintaining signal integrity for short-reach high-speed interconnects.

Advantages

This SFP28 active optical cable delivers a compact, maintenance-free link with consistent 25Gb/s performance and reduced electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives. The pre-terminated design streamlines installation and reduces potential faults from field termination. Its low power consumption and lightweight construction support high-density deployments and minimize rack space and cooling impact.

Suitable for

• Short-reach 25Gb/s connections between switches in data center spine-and-leaf architectures
• Direct links between servers and top-of-rack switches
• High-performance storage networks and aggregation links
• Rack-to-rack interconnects where a 3 m cable length is appropriate

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 to SFP28
• Nominal data rate: 25 Gb/s
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC), factory-terminated
• Length: 3 m
• Latency: low-latency optical link suitable for high-performance networking
• Form factor compatibility: SFP28 ports on switches, servers and storage

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP28 plug into the corresponding SFP28 port until the retention latch engages. Ensure both devices are powered and that firmware or platform compatibility for third-party AOCs is verified if required by the equipment vendor. The link should be recognized automatically; confirm the 25Gb/s rate and link status via device management interfaces. Avoid bending the cable sharply near the connector ends and route it to prevent mechanical strain.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use this 3 m AOC for intra-rack or short inter-rack connections where 25Gb/s performance and reduced electromagnetic susceptibility are needed. Maintain bend radius guidelines, avoid tension on connectors, and check compatibility notes on your network equipment to ensure proper link negotiation and optical performance.
