Cable SAVIO HDMI a VGA CL-198, conector macho HDMI a conector macho VGA con audio, 1,8 m de longitud

SAVIO CL-198 is a 1.8 m passive HDMI-to-VGA cable with an integrated audio line. It converts a digital HDMI output into an analog VGA signal while providing a separate 3.5 mm audio connection for sound. The cable is designed to link HDMI-equipped sources such as laptops, media players or small set-top boxes to VGA-only displays, projectors or monitors that accept external audio input, offering a straightforward wired solution for legacy display compatibility.

Advantages

The passive design provides a compact, single-cable solution for video and a separate audio feed without the need for external power. With a 1.8 m length the cable offers moderate reach for desktop and conference-room setups. The integrated 3.5 mm audio line enables simultaneous transmission of sound to monitors with audio-in jacks or to external speakers, simplifying connection when the display does not carry audio over VGA.

How to use

Connect the HDMI male connector to the source device’s HDMI output and plug the VGA male connector into the display or projector VGA input. Insert the 3.5 mm audio plug into the display’s audio-in jack or into external speakers to carry sound from the source. Power on both devices and select the appropriate input on the display or projector. Adjust the source device’s video output settings if necessary to match the display’s resolution and refresh rate for optimal picture quality.

Recommendations

For best results, use the cable for standard resolutions supported by the target VGA display. If the HDMI source requires HDCP or the display only accepts specific analog timings, verify compatibility before use. Avoid sharp bends and heavy strain on the cable and connectors; place devices so that the 1.8 m length is sufficient without tension.
