Cable serie ShiverPeaks BS78021-3 gris 3 m DB-25

The ShiverPeaks BS78021-3 Grey 3m DB-25 is a 3‑meter serial cable with a DB‑25 connector designed for reliable point‑to‑point data transmission. It provides a straightforward physical connection for devices that use the DB‑25 interface. The grey jacket offers a neutral, professional appearance suitable for office, industrial or laboratory environments.

Advantages

This serial cable provides a durable, shielded connection for devices using DB‑25 ports and is sized at 3 meters to balance reach and signal integrity. Its construction focuses on stable data transfer, simple installation and compatibility with a range of legacy and industrial equipment. The neutral grey color reduces visual clutter in multi‑cable setups.

Suitable for

• Connecting printers, modems or instrumentation with DB‑25 serial ports
• Linking industrial controllers and measurement equipment requiring DB‑25 interfaces
• Establishing point‑to‑point serial links in test benches and laboratory setups
• Replacing or extending existing DB‑25 cabling in office or production environments

Key specifications

• Cable length: 3 m
• Connector type: DB‑25 male/female (serial interface)
• Cable color: grey
• Application: serial (RS‑232/DB‑25 compatible) point‑to‑point data connections
• Design: round jacket suitable for office and industrial routing

How to use

Connect the DB‑25 connector to the matching DB‑25 port on your device, ensuring secure seating of the connector screws if present. Route the 3‑metre cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference. Power and configure connected devices according to their manufacturer instructions to enable serial communication. For systems requiring specific signal wiring or gender conversion, verify pinouts and use appropriate adapters or null‑modem configurations.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep the cable away from high‑voltage lines and large motors. If you experience communication errors, inspect connector seating and pin alignment, and check whether a null‑modem or gender adapter is required for your device pair. Replace the cable if the jacket or connectors show visible wear or corrosion.
