DAHUA Camera HD Full-Color 1080p 2.8 mm is a 1080p surveillance camera with a fixed 2.8 mm lens engineered for continuous color imaging in low-light and night conditions. The camera produces full-color video output to aid scene recognition and identification at short to medium ranges. It is suitable for both outdoor and indoor installation where color detail is required around entrances, parking spaces, retail counters and other monitored zones.

Advantages

This Full-Color 1080p camera delivers consistent color images in dim environments, improving the ability to distinguish clothing, vehicle colors and other scene details that monochrome night modes can lose. The 2.8 mm fixed lens provides a wide field of view for area coverage at short to medium distances while maintaining 1080p resolution for clear image detail. The camera is built for everyday surveillance use, offering stable video output and simplified installation compared with multi-lens or PTZ systems.

How to use

Mount the camera at a position that provides an unobstructed view of the area of interest, typically at an entrance, over a parking lane or above a retail counter. Connect the camera to your compatible recording device or network using the recommended cabling and power source for your installation. Adjust the camera angle during installation to optimize the field of view for the 2.8 mm lens, and verify image framing and focus on the recorder or monitoring station. Configure recording settings such as resolution, frame rate and motion detection according to your surveillance requirements.

Recommendations

For best color performance in low light, ensure the scene has some ambient illumination or use supplementary lighting where necessary. Position the camera to avoid direct glare from headlights or strong artificial lights that can wash out color detail. Regularly check lens cleanliness and perform firmware updates on connected devices to maintain reliable operation.
