Cámara de vigilancia Hikvision DS-2CD2183G2-LIS2U 2,8 mm

The Hikvision DS-2CD2183G2-LIS2U 2.8mm is an 8MP IP surveillance camera designed for reliable video monitoring in a range of environments. Equipped with a 2.8mm wide-angle lens and advanced night vision, the camera captures high-resolution colour images by day and clear monochrome or colour images at low light levels. It uses H.265+ video compression to reduce bandwidth and storage requirements while maintaining image quality, and its weatherproof housing supports installation in outdoor as well as indoor locations.

Advantages

This camera provides high-resolution 8MP imaging for detailed scene coverage and a 2.8mm lens for a broad field of view. H.265+ compression lowers storage costs and network load, and integrated night vision extends monitoring capabilities after dark. The camera’s weatherproof design ensures consistent operation in variable conditions, while built-in motion detection and remote access enable responsive monitoring and remote viewing from mobile devices or network clients.

Suitable for

• Perimeter and outdoor property monitoring
• Indoor surveillance of retail, office, or common areas
• Residential security for driveways, entrances and yards
• Remote monitoring via mobile devices or NVR systems

Key specifications

• Image sensor and resolution: 8 megapixels
• Lens focal length: 2.8 mm (wide-angle)
• Video compression: H.265+ supported for efficient storage
• Low-light performance: advanced night vision capabilities
• Environmental protection: weatherproof housing suitable for outdoor use

How to use

Install the camera in a location that provides the desired field of view and secure it according to the mounting instructions. Connect the camera to the network and power source following manufacturer guidance, then configure network settings and user access through the camera’s web interface or management software. Adjust lens orientation and focus as needed to frame the scene, set motion detection zones and sensitivity, and select appropriate recording and compression settings to balance image quality with storage capacity.

Recommendations

For consistent image quality, place the camera at an elevated position with a clear, unobstructed view of the target area and avoid direct exposure to intense light sources. Use H.265+ compression to optimise storage usage and configure motion-triggered recording to reduce unnecessary footage. Regularly check firmware updates and test remote access to ensure reliable operation.
