Cámara IP Instar IN-9408 2K+ 2560x1440 LAN/PoE

Instar IN-9408 2K+ 2560x1440 LAN/PoE is an IP security camera designed for continuous monitoring with high-resolution video capture. The camera records at 2K+ (2560x1440) resolution to deliver clearer detail for identification and evidence, and uses LAN with Power over Ethernet (PoE) to combine data and power on a single cable for simplified installation and reliable network operation. Built for indoor or sheltered outdoor use, the unit supports remote viewing over local networks and compatible mobile or desktop applications.

Advantages

The camera provides higher-than-HD resolution for improved recognition of faces, license plates, and scene details while keeping bandwidth and storage requirements lower than many 4K devices. PoE connectivity reduces cabling complexity by supplying power and network via one Ethernet cable, making installation faster and neater. Continuous network streaming and local recording options offer flexible retention strategies, and compatibility with standard IP protocols ensures integration with many NVRs and VMS platforms.

Suitable for

• Home security and perimeter monitoring
• Small business surveillance and retail spaces
• Office entrances and reception areas
• Garages, carports and sheltered outdoor zones

Key specifications

• Image resolution: 2560 x 1440 (2K+)
• Network: LAN with Power over Ethernet (PoE)
• Video streaming: continuous IP streaming for remote viewing
• Mounting: wall or ceiling mountable compact housing
• Low-light performance: sensor and lens designed for improved detail in reduced lighting

How to use

Mount the camera at the chosen location using the appropriate hardware and ensure the field of view covers the area to be monitored. Connect a single Ethernet cable from a PoE-capable switch or injector to provide both network connectivity and power. Configure the camera through its web interface or the compatible mobile/desktop app by assigning a network address, setting up user access, adjusting resolution and frame rate, and selecting recording modes (continuous, schedule, or motion-triggered). Verify the remote viewing settings and confirm that recordings are being stored locally or on a network video recorder as required.

Recommendations

For best results, position the camera to avoid direct sunlight in the lens and provide some overhead shelter for outdoor installations. Use a PoE switch that supports the camera's power draw and enable secure access controls and firmware updates to maintain network security and reliable operation.
