The Sony α ILCE-6400AK is a compact mirrorless (MILC) camera with a 24.2 MP CMOS sensor and 4K Ultra HD video recording. Its lightweight body and 3" touchscreen make it convenient for travel and everyday use, while the wide ISO range up to 51200 and 16–50 mm focal length option provide flexibility for portraits, landscapes and close-up shots. The camera includes an electronic viewfinder, built-in microphone and Wi‑Fi connectivity for easy sharing.

Advantages

Despite its compact size, the α6400 delivers fast performance, reliable face tracking and image stabilization for sharper stills and smoother video. The camera supports high-resolution 6000 x 4000 photos and 4K video, offers a broad shutter speed range (1/4000 to 30 s) and includes convenient connectivity options such as Micro‑USB, HDMI and NFC. The lightweight 0.403 kg design improves handling during extended shooting.

Suitable for

Travel and street photography
Vlogging and 4K video production
Portraits and family photos
Everyday casual and social media photography

How to use

Charge the Lithium‑Ion battery and insert a compatible memory card before switching the camera on. Use the touchscreen or control dials to select shooting modes and adjust exposure, ISO and shutter speed as needed. For video, set resolution to 4K (3840 x 2160) in the menu and enable face tracking for smoother subject focus. Use the electronic viewfinder for precise composition in bright conditions and connect via Wi‑Fi or HDMI to transfer files or monitor footage externally.

Recommendations

For best results, keep ISO as low as practical to reduce noise—raise ISO only in low light. Use image stabilization and a steady grip or tripod for long exposures. When recording 4K video, monitor battery level and card write speed to avoid interruptions.
