The ABUS Silver Rock 5 Key lock Blue Silver is a conventional padlock designed to secure gates, storage units, lockers and other items where a keyed locking solution is required. Its blue and silver finish provides visible identification and corrosion-resistant appearance, while the mechanical key cylinder offers straightforward operation. The padlock is engineered for general-purpose security in residential and light commercial settings and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments.

Advantages

The padlock offers a simple keyed mechanism that is easy to operate and maintain. Its metal body and shackle are finished to resist weathering and provide everyday protection against unauthorized access. The compact design allows for installation on a variety of hasps and latches, while the visible blue and silver colouring helps with quick identification among multiple locks.

Suitable for

• Garden gates and outdoor doors
• Storage lockers and sheds
• Toolboxes and cabinets
• Indoor doors and utility rooms

Key specifications

• Lock type: Keyed padlock with mechanical cylinder
• Body finish: Blue and silver coated metal
• Intended use: Indoor and outdoor general security
• Design: Compact, conventional padlock form factor
• Operation: Manual key insertion and rotation

How to use

Insert the correct key into the cylinder and turn to retract the locking bolt or shackle. Place the shackle through the hasp or eye of the item to be secured, then rotate the key back to lock and remove it. Ensure the shackle is fully seated in the body before leaving the padlock in place. Periodically operate the key and apply a suitable lubricant to the cylinder and shackle pivot points to maintain smooth action, especially after exposure to wet or dirty conditions.

Recommendations

For best performance, use the padlock on properly aligned hasps or latches and avoid forcing the shackle. In corrosive environments consider additional protective measures such as cover shields or choosing stainless components; store spare keys in a secure location separate from the locked item.
