Candado de cable HP Master Keyed Docking Station AY474AA

The HP Master Keyed Docking Station Cable Lock (AY474AA) secures docking stations and notebooks with a round key lock and a 1.85 m galvanized steel cable. Designed to integrate into HP Docking Station and HP Advanced Docking Station lock cavities, the lock also secures the drive bay on compatible advanced docking stations while remaining compact and portable at 250 g.

Advantages

The cable lock offers two locking options—secure only the docking station or secure both docking station and notebook—using a durable 4.5 mm diameter cable and a round key mechanism. Its galvanized steel construction resists tampering and corrosion, and the 1.85 m length allows flexible placement. The lightweight design makes it easy to carry between locations.

Suitable for

• Securing HP docking stations in offices, classrooms, and shared workspaces
• Protecting notebooks attached to docking stations
• Preventing access to the drive bay on HP 120W or 230W Advanced Docking Stations

How to use

Insert the round key into the lock head and attach the lock into the dedicated lock cavity on the HP Docking Station or HP Advanced Docking Station. Loop the 1.85 m cable around a fixed, immovable object and secure the cable end in the lock head. Turn the key to lock; remove the key to verify the device is held securely. To lock both the notebook and docking station, position the lock so it engages both units according to the docking station instructions.

Recommendations

Store the key separately from the locked device and consider using a master-key management system for multiple locks. Regularly inspect the cable and lock for wear or corrosion, especially in high-humidity environments, and clean with a dry cloth. Follow HP docking station guidance when engaging the drive bay locking feature.
