The Canon 0697C001 carrier sheet is an accessory designed for use with Canon imageFORMULA ScanFront 400 and DR-C240 scanners to support scanning of delicate, lightweight, or oversized documents. The transparent carrier holds fragile originals flat and guides them through the feed path to reduce the risk of creasing, tearing or misfeeds while maintaining image quality. Each pack includes one carrier sheet sized to accommodate a range of nonstandard media that would otherwise be difficult to process in the specified Canon scanners.

Advantages

The carrier sheet preserves the integrity of thin paper, photos, receipts and other delicate originals by providing a stable backing during automatic feeding. It reduces handling damage and helps prevent jams by presenting a consistent surface to the scanner’s rollers and sensors. The transparent material enables the scanner to capture the full image without significant loss of clarity, and the single-sheet pack makes it simple to keep a spare on hand for occasional use.

Suitable for

  • Scanning fragile documents such as receipts, invoices and thin papers
  • Digitizing photos and small-format originals that risk curling or tearing
  • Processing oversized or irregularly sized items that don’t feed reliably on their own

Key specifications

  • Compatibility: Canon imageFORMULA ScanFront 400 and DR-C240 series
  • Material: transparent protective film designed for automatic feeding
  • Pack contents: one carrier sheet per pack
  • Purpose: supports delicate, lightweight and oversized originals during scanning

How to use

Place the fragile or nonstandard original inside the carrier sheet and align the document within the transparent window according to the scanner’s feed direction. Insert the carrier sheet into the scanner’s feed tray and initiate the scanning job using the device controls or connected software. After scanning, remove the original from the carrier and store the sheet flat away from sharp edges to preserve its condition for future use.

Recommendations

Use the carrier sheet for single or occasional batches of delicate originals; avoid repeated use with heavily soiled or adhesive-covered items. For best results, ensure documents are free of staples and large folds before placing them in the carrier sheet, and follow scanner guidance for handling nonstandard media to maintain optimal feed reliability and image quality.
