Cizalla lateral Knipex 25 02 140

The Knipex 25 02 140 diagonal pliers are compact precision cutters crafted from forged chromium-vanadium electric steel and oil-hardened for durability. With pointed, half-round jaws and knurled gripping surfaces, these 140 mm pliers are designed for finer gripping and cutting work in confined spaces. Cutting edges are induction hardened to approximately 61 HRC and are suitable for soft, medium-hard and hard wire. The plastic handles offer a comfortable grip while keeping the tool lightweight at about 109 g.

Advantages

Pointed, half-round jaws combined with knurled gripping surfaces enable precise handling of small components. Induction-hardened cutting edges (approx. 61 HRC) extend service life and maintain sharpness when cutting a range of wire hardnesses. Forged vanadium electric steel with oil-hardening ensures robust construction and reliable long-term performance. The compact 140 mm size and lightweight design improve access to tight spaces and reduce user fatigue.

Suitable for

• Precision cutting of soft, medium-hard and hard wire
• Gripping and positioning small parts in tight spaces
• Electrical and electronics assembly and maintenance
• Hobby, DIY and model-making tasks requiring fine cutting

How to use

Position the diagonal pliers so the wire or component sits close to the pivot for efficient cutting. Use the pointed, half-round jaws to grip or position small parts; the knurled surfaces help prevent slipping. Apply steady pressure to the handles to cut wire, ensuring the correct section of the cutting edge contacts the material. After use, wipe the tool clean and store it in a dry place to prevent corrosion.

Recommendations

For long tool life, avoid cutting hardened steel beyond the specified range and do not use the pliers as a hammer, pry bar or for twisting heavy objects. Periodically lubricate the joint and keep the cutting edges free of debris to maintain optimal performance.
