CLUB3D USB-C® a Triple DisplayPort™ 4K60Hz

The CSV-1553 is a USB-C MST hub that converts a single USB Type-C port with DisplayPort Alt Mode into three DisplayPort outputs. It supports DisplayPort 2.1 Alt Mode and allows flexible multi-monitor configurations: a single display up to 8K at 30 Hz, dual displays (8K30Hz + 4K144Hz), or three displays each up to 4K at 60 Hz. The hub is compatible with devices that provide DisplayPort Alternate Mode over USB-C or are Thunderbolt 4 compatible, including many phones, tablets, ultrabooks and laptops.

Advantages

This compact MST hub expands one USB-C DisplayPort-enabled port into three DisplayPort outputs, enabling multi-monitor setups without installing additional graphics hardware. It supports high-resolution and high-refresh-rate combinations, including 8K and 4K displays, and works with a wide range of modern USB-C and Thunderbolt 4 devices that implement DP Alt Mode. Installation is plug-and-play when the host system supports MST and DisplayPort Alternate Mode.

Key specifications

• Model: CSV-1553
• Interface: USB Type-C (host) to 3 × DisplayPort (outputs)
• DisplayPort standard: DP 2.1 Alt Mode support
• Maximum single-display output: up to 8K @ 30 Hz
• Dual-display example: 8K @ 30 Hz + 4K @ 144 Hz
• Triple-display mode: up to 3 × 4K @ 60 Hz
• Compatible with devices supporting DP Alt Mode over USB-C and Thunderbolt 4

How to use

Connect the hub to a host device using a USB-C port that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode) or a Thunderbolt 4 port. Attach up to three DisplayPort monitors to the hub’s outputs using DisplayPort cables. Configure the desired display arrangement and resolutions in the host operating system’s display settings. Ensure the host GPU and system firmware support MST and the chosen multi-monitor configuration for optimal performance.

Recommendations

Use high-quality DisplayPort cables and verify that your phone, tablet or laptop explicitly supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and MST; some devices with USB-C may not provide full DP multi-stream functionality. For best results with high-resolution or high-refresh-rate displays, confirm the host device’s GPU capabilities and cable bandwidth.
